Description

The art of ebru is known in English as marbling. it is defined as "coloured wavy patterns on paper". This patterned paper was traditionally used to line book bindings, but today ebru works are often framed as pictures.
The Turkish art of ebru which is known to be practiced in Istanbul for more than 500years, certainly has a tradition which is passed from generation to generation by a master and apprentic relationship and known as "Turkish paper" for centuries in the western world. However it originated in the city of Bukhara in Turkistan, and from here spread via the Silk Road to Persia, India and Anatolia.

Using the ebru techniques, it is NOT possible to make an exact replica of an ebru, therefore each ebru is unique.
Some masters used to say that "Ebru is like magic, sometimes it works and sometimes not".
Ebru has a changing harmony, and requires great dedication and patience

That’s why it is a challenge for me to learn it too.. And today I have this opportunity to introduce this marvellous and original art to you/ to the ones who havent ever heard about this style...
i hope u'll like it..

this one is my favourite, free mixed style with spanish marbeling..
